Naperville Neuropathy Relief. Number One Cause of Neuropathy. Dr Richard Hagmeyer

Dr Hagmeyer Explains the Causes Neuropathy?

Diabetes is one of the most common causes of neuropathy.

You may not know this but as many as half of the people diagnosed with diabetes will also suffer from neuropathy eventually.

Diabetic neuropathy is the term typically associated with the type of neuropathy that is caused by diabetes. Although it can affect any of the nerves in the body, diabetic neuropathy typically affects the nerves in the hands and feet most severely.

Diabetes is a common condition that has reached almost epidemic levels in the industrialized world. Diabetes is a chronic and system wide disease that results from the body's inability to properly process glucose, also known as blood sugar. This is often because the body lacks the correct amount of insulin that is required to break down the glucose into elements the body can use.

Diabetic neuropathy is the most common serious complication of diabetes. BUT DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED! Neuropathy can be easily prevented and it's progress drastically slowed with proper nutrition, a healthy lifestyle and a Natural Neuropathy Treatment Program like the one we use in our office.

There are a number of other causes of neuropathy as well. These include, but are not limited to the following:

  • alcoholism
  • exposure to some types of toxins or other kinds of poisons
  • infections
  • genetic disorders
  • tumors that exert pressure on the surrounding nerves
  • trauma to the nerve from an auto accident, for example
  • extended pressure on the nerve
  • repetitive movements such typing which can lead to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus

Naperville IL Neuropathy and Type II Diabetes Doctor. Natural Alternatives For Type II Diabetes Control.

Most Diabetics generally accept the fact that there health will continue to deteriorate year after year and that blood pressure pills, cholesterol pills, antidepressants, acid reflux medication, loss of libido, weight gain, fatigue and Insulin injections are just part of the cycle of what happens as you get older and the longer you have diabetes.

This in part can be true depending on the type of diabetic patient you are. Are you content swallowing medications your whole life and believe that diabetes is just your lot in life?  Or do you believe that you can reverse the disease process and regain your life?  Most of my patients deep down believe they can get better; the problem is they don’t know where to turn and have no one to hold their hand through the recovery process.  That’s what we do at the Naperville Institute For NeuroMetabolic Solutions in Naperville, IL.

Here is what you can expect if you do nothing but continue to ignore the cause of your diabetes. High blood Pressure is a problem common to almost all people with type 2 diabetes. In fact, it is almost assumed that people with type 2 diabetes will develop high blood pressure requiring blood pressure medications. It is generally accepted that hardening of the arteries and kidney problems lead to high blood pressure in diabetics.

Atherosclerosis or narrowing of the blood vessels can lead to an increase in blood pressure. Damage caused by abrasive sugar coated red blood cells causes’ damage and an accumulation of cholesterol on blood vessel walls. The higher the blood sugar levels get, the more damage is done to the circulatory system. This can be the beginning catalyst to a number of future complications that people with diabetes and type 2 diabetes face including high blood pressure.

The kidneys regulate fluid retention in our body and when working improperly can cause increases in blood pressure. High blood sugar levels are known to alter sodium retention and excretion in the kidney. This alteration of sodium levels in the body leads to increased water retention and increased blood pressure for people with type 2 diabetes.

Increases in blood pressure levels are also thought to damage kidney function. It is easy to see why kidney disease is one of the most common problems that people with type 2 diabetes face. Not only does increased blood pressure damage the kidney, but many experts understand that increases in blood sugar cause damage as well. The kidney is hit from multiple directions and can be overwhelmed when blood sugars are not well controlled.
Blood pressure medication has become almost a standard medication for all of society and especially for people with diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Does it have to be this way?

The patients in the Neuro Metabolic Solutions Program are able to avoid many of the complications of type 2 diabetes because of proper education and management. Dr Hagmeyer, Clinic Director at the Naperville Institute For Neuro Metabolic Solutions in Naperville, IL provides testing advanced metabolic testing and individualized care. This approach allows our patients to achieve phenomenal results.
We expect our clients in the Neuro Metabolic Solutions Program to regain normal blood pressure levels as they move through their program. As blood sugar levels normalize it is expected that blood pressure levels will normalize as well.

If you are committed to taking control of your health and avoiding a lifetime of medication, the NeuroMetabolic Program for Diabetics is here to help. To learn more, call or schedule a Diabetes Consultation here. You Deserve to start feeling better!  or Call 630-718-0555

Diabetes Increases Cancer Risk. Naperville IL Dr Richard Hagmeyer Naperville Insitute For NeuroMetabolic Solutions Naperville IL

Diabetes Increases Cancer Risk

Part of what makes diabetes such a difficult diagnosis to deal with is its tendency to increase your risk of serious diseases — including several types of cancer, according to one of the largest and longest studies to date on the topic.

After analyzing data from 500,000 people aged 50 to 71, who were followed for 11 years, researchers found that diabetes increases the risk of dying from cancer by 8 percent in women and 9 percent in men when prostate cancer was excluded (diabetes was actually associated with a decreased risk of prostate cancer, possibly because of lower testosterone levels).

Rates of liver, rectum and colon cancers were all increased among people with diabetes, along with pancreatic and bladder cancers for diabetic men and stomach, anus and uterine cancers among diabetic women.

The risk of dying from cancer was also greater for men and women with diabetes, by 17 percent and 11 percent, respectively, compared to non-diabetics.

CONCLUSIONS: In addition to vascular disease, diabetes is associated with substantial premature death from several cancers, infectious diseases, external causes, intentional self-harm, and degenerative disorders, independent of several major risk factors. (Funded by the British Heart Foundation and others.).

The study confirms earlier research that similarly found diabetics had a 25 percent greater risk of dying from cancer along with an increased risk of dying from heart attack, stroke, infections, lung disease, kidney disease, falls and suicide. That study found diabetes was moderately associated with death from cancers of the liver, pancreas, ovary, colorectum, lung, bladder, and breast.

It’s not clear exactly how diabetes increases cancer risk, but the two diseases do have many of the same risk factors, such as poor diet, lack of exercise and smoking. So many of the same lifestyle changes that can lower your diabetes risk will lower your cancer risk, too.

Cancer is only one serious illness linked to diabetes. Heart disease, stroke, vision loss, and kidney problems are also common among diabetics, which is why, quite simply, one of the best ways to protect your health on multiple levels is to do everything in your power to avoid getting type 2 diabetes in the first place — and take steps to reverse the condition if you already have it.

Reverse Diabetes Naturally. Why Most Diabetes Diets Dont Work. Dr Richard Hagmeyer. Naperville IL

REVERSING DIEABETS CAN BE DONE NATURALLY! WE DO IT EVERYDAY IN OUR OFFICE.

There are numerous websites out there giving information about diabetes diets. More often than not, most of these diets are filled with empty promises and some of these diets are just outright WRONG. It's time to bring some clarity to this very murcky issue.

1. Most diabetes diets are Not tailored to the individual; meaning that they are a one size fits all diet. Each person with type 2 diabetes has different set of problem and each person requires different modifications. It's simply not possible, to give every person the same Nutritional or Dietary recommendations when they all have different challenges to overcome. This is why The Naperville InstituteFor NeuroMetabolic Solutions offers advanced Metabolic Testing that helps differntiate the unique set of challenges each diabetic is facing.

2. Most diabetes diets give a recommendation to increase the amount of whole grains. There is a significant amount of carbohydrates in grains which leads to increased blood sugar levels. Grains also contain antinutrients cause insulin surges. If this wasn’t bad enough think about how we fatten up live stock. We feed them grains. If you take a look around, whats happening to Americans is that we are being fattened up.  In addition we are seeing more and more people who have gluten sensitivities and leaky gut. Gluten sensitivity and Celiac Disease are very common amongst diabetics and if you have a gluten sensitivity or Celiac Disease or any kind of autoimmune disease. I highly recommend that you Stay away from them. Click on the Picture below to learn more.

 3. Many people have food allergies that they are unaware of. If you have a food allergy and you consume that food, you will see an increase in your blood sugar level. The reason this happens is because the food allergy causes inflammation, and inflammation leads to an increase in your blood sugar levels. Diabetes diets do not take this into consideration and they can lead to dissapointments and failure for many people. It's critical to find a doctor who specializes in Natural Diabetes treatment options that clearly understands food allergies, Leaky Gut and its effects on your immune system.

4. Many allow sugar in various forms. Honestly, if you're a diabetic, one of the most important thing you can do is significantly limit any intake of sugar. Again there are safer forms of sweeteners you can use, but the best idea is to cut the sugar out. Artificial sweeteners like sweet and low, splenda and other fake sugars also cause inflammation and this can cause your blood sugar to go up. The reality here is that if you want to get well, you Need to give up the sugar.

5. Finally, a lot of diabetes diets put little emphasis on vegetables. Vegetables are rebuilders. They provide us with the building blocks of growth and repair. There should be a HUGE emphasis on eating plenty of vegetables, and protein. A good protein source as well as Fats and Fiber are absolutely critical to keep your blood sugar levels even.

There's a lot to learn about making good food choices for diabetes, and there's a lot of bad information out there. Most diabetes diets have some merit, but you have to think for yourself and find a well-trained health professional to help you.
